Diagnostics of Thyroid Diseases with the Help Ultrasonic Examination

Abstract

The review provides data on the prevalence of diseases thyroid gland. Screening algorithms are considered, various instrumental methods for diagnosing thyroid diseases. The main thing attention is paid to highlighting the meaning, possibilities, limitations of ultrasonic research (ultrasound) as the main method due to its availability, high information content, sensitivity and specificity in identifying not only nodes and tumors in the thyroid gland itself, but also in affected regional lymph nodes. Information about the significance and diagnostic role of the study is also analyzed blood flow in tumor nodes using ultrasound Doppler mapping.

Significant emphasis is placed on the use of fine needle aspiration (TAP) with cytological and histological examination of punctures, her diagnostic capabilities and the advantage of the puncture procedure under ultrasound guidance (TAP-ultrasound).
